Vehicle Maintenance

We are not your average auto repair shop. We are equipped to handle hefty tasks including engine and transmission repairs. We also employ top-of-the-line diagnostic technology to guarantee your car gets the right repairs. We can help with routine maintenance, diagnosing a no-start or electrical issue, and more.

Fluids

Monitoring fluids is one thing, changing it is another.

Even those who can replace their fluids prefer to leave it to the pros so they don't have to get dirty, dispose of spent oils and antifreeze, or slip under the car. It's much easier to let professional mechanics do it with all their equipment and lifts.

JCR Performance's auto mechanics do more than just replace your car's oil. On the lift, we may also check for oil leaks, tire troubles, suspension difficulties, brake lines, exhaust, fuel lines, and more.

  • Transmission Fluid
  • Brake Fluid
  • Power Steering Fluid
  • Differential Oil
  • Transfer Case Fluid
  • Coolant

TIRES

If you detect uneven tire wear, you may have:

  • Too much air pressure – where tire wears in the middle
  • Low air pressure – where tire wear on the exterior edges
  • Problems with suspension, alignment, and steering – where there is tread “feathering” or a wear on one or both front tires

Tires may also detach or lose balance. There is a good chance that your tires are out of balance and need to be adjusted. A detached tire can cause shaking at low speeds.

BELTS & HOSES

You can also check your belts and hoses. You should look for dry rot, tears, cracks, and shiny grooves when you check belts. Replace the serpentine belt if you detect any of these issues.

Belts also stretch in time. A tensioner pulley keeps the belt taut as it extends. Eventually, the tensioner can no longer keep the belt taut. In this case, you should replace the belt if you can twist it more than 90 degrees.

Hot or cold hoses should be sturdy. Replace a hose that has dry rot or feels mushy before it breaks and causes your car to overheat. Examine the hose clamps for dry rot. Dry rot can harm the entire hose, although it usually appears near the clamps.

TUNE UP

Modern cars employ coil-on-plug technology, eliminating wires. But you need to change your spark plugs. For further information, consult your vehicle's service manual.
